I got an error while upgrading, but the money has been taken out of my account

I literally just upgraded from basic to a plus account because I cant access a shared file I need. Bought it and it said error, restored purchases still get a error....Literally JUST bought this subscription & IT ALREADY TOOK MY MONEY OUT THE ACCOUNT!!! What do I do???

Hello! I just had the exact same issue unfortunately, I have tried several times but the account will not upgrade

Hi @GeeGee8, let's see what we can find on this! 

 

Do you see any receipts or money withdrawn from your bank? If so, do you also see a transaction ID that you can possibly use, in order to locate where this charge is coming from?

Thank you so much for your help, my bank account was billed through my Apple ID account on May 16, I am wondering if the problem is occurring because this Apple email is different from my the Dropbox email that I purchased the upgrade for. I have submitted a request to Apple for a refund and I am waiting 48 hours for a response, hopefully they can help too!

Hey @GeeGee8, how are you today? 

 

If a refund is what you're looking for, Apple will definitely help with that.

 

If you wish to have the subscription, though, you can open your Dropbox app, go to 'account', tap on the gear icon and then on 'restore purchases', to see if that helps.

I have exactly the same problem - I’ve tired a few times in the past - it takes my money and just tried again “unknown error occured” and can’t contact anyone because I’m basic - even though I’ve paid now and once before for the upgrade ! How to I get my upgrade or my money back ??????

Please can someone help. It appears I’ve been charged after trying to upgrade my plan due to storage.

Apple took my money 9.99, and app error and now it’s still a basic account?? - it didn’t work I cannot contact support (basic) the irony.

I want to upgrade - the same happened in the past also, I need help from support but basic offered no support. Why do I get charged and the upgrade doesn’t work ? Contact support limited to upgraded accounts?
