Hi,
I subscribed to Dropbox plus trial on 24/03/22 but missed to cancel it before trial expires.
Now, in the billing tab, I see charges of $11.99 Dropbox Plus (23/4/2022 to 23/5/2022). But no option for payment, so does it mean I am yet to subscribe Dropbox Plus. Because, in the setting it prompts for upgrade to Dropbox Plus.
However, as per your article, I check in the Plan tab to cancel trial version but there also it does not show any option for cancellation.
But, in the tab Plan - Current Plan shows Dropbox Basic. Has it automatically downgraded to basic from Dropbox plus trial version and no charges will be levied? Because, I have not initiated upgrade plan to Dropbox plus. My worry is that Dropbox should not debit amount automatically.
Please advise.
Thanks
Anand
Hey @AnnddN5, thanks for reaching out to the Dropbox Community!
If you see that you're on a Basic account on your plan tab, that means that you're definitely on a free account at the moment.
It sounds like you had the trial, but even though the account tried to renew to Dropbox Plus after the expiration of the trial, it was never able to.
That's why you might see that an invoice was issued, but there's no actual receipt for a payment.
You never got charged, right? Do you see a Dropbox payment in your bank statement?
Keep me posted.

Hi Hannah,
Thanks for your prompt response.
I do not see any payment done from my credit card.
The confusion created when I saw the amount in billing. Also, when I subscribed to trial version, I received auto generated mail that if I do not cancel before trial version expires, I will be charged every month. Hence, I was little concerned. But no payment from my account executed yet and I see basic version but it does not show any option to cancel even basic version. I see basic version tab is greyed out and Plus version tab shows option to upgrade. But I have not clicked on upgrade option. So, it is confirmed that I will not be charged.
Thanks
Anand
Hi @AnnddN5, you can also confirm if any payment was registered by Dropbox on this page.
If you don't see a receipt of payment (which is different to an invoice), then it means that no payment was taken by Dropbox.
Hope this helps to clarify matters!
