Hi, Google play told me that my subscription had expired yesterday (I did not stop it & billing info not changed) today Dropbox has emailed me & to get the same deal as yesterday that I didn't cancel has gone up from £7.99 a month to £9.99 a month - that's a massive increase, what is going on please?

Hey @Rob47, I hope you're doing well!

Since billing questions are better answered via our ticketing system, I recommend using an incognito window in which you are not signed into any accounts.

When you get to this page, click the 'Need help with a billing issue?' button, then send a Help Request using the appropriate option at the bottom of the page, and enter your payment details.

Let me know how this goes.

Hi Lori, thanks for taking the time out to reply to my issue, I appreciate it. I have spent a great deal of time trying to talk to someone about this, and keep going around in circles unable to talk to anything but an AI. Following the link through it directs me to contact Google play, who tell me to contact Dropbox. Been down that route for the last 2 days. Getting very frustrating as I've been a trouble free customer for 6 years, and would have carried on being.

Thanks for all the info @Rob47

If your plan is administered by Google Play, I'd suggest you contact them regarding any price increase.

Since your plan is purchased through them, they should be able to help you with any related questions as to why your pricing isn't the same.

Hi Lori, thanks for taking the time out to respond again, unfortunately Google play have the a similar god-awful view of customer service to Dropbox, where you can't get hold of anyone even though you pay for a service. If I can't sort it by tomorrow I'll give up and check out Box & others & see who is contactable before picking one. Thanks anyway.

I feel your pain. It is impossible to do business with corporates like this when something goes even slightly off track. They just dont care enough about customers to put any significant customer service in place. I guess they believe it is cheaper to just lose the odd customer instead of actually having a real person to talk to.

I think this is the worst part of tech and of ai. Kind of an oxymoron really.
