Refund allowed when invoicing on an annual basis?

Refund allowed when invoicing on an annual basis?

I hope anyone can help me out with this question. Dropbox offers us to switch to an annual invoicing plan (Dropbox Business Standard). I cannot find what will happen if we accept this offer now with 22 users. Should we want to bring the number of users down from the current 22 to for instance 18 in a few months, will Dropbox then refund the surplus of subscription fee billed for these 4 users??

Thank you for your help with answering my question.

Kind regards, Margot

Hi @Margot_NL, welcome to our Community!

Dropbox in general, has a no refund policy, with very few exceptions, depending on the unique circumstances of each case, of course.

I would personally either suggest that you reduce your licenses now -if you have to-, so that you can always increase the number in the future.

Or, provided that you proceed with 22 licenses, and that you remove 4 members, you can always keep the licenses for future members, in order to invite them to join your Team.

You can always discuss these possibilities directly with our Support team.

If you need anything else, let me know!

I retired two months ago, and forgot to cancel my subscription the month before I retired.  I want a refund for the next nine months, not a lower priced plan that I don't need.  Will this company give me a partial refund or are they unwilling to help seniors on a fixed income?

Hi @ken1501, hope you’re doing well.

Just like Megan mentioned above, Dropbox has a general no-refund policy.

However, since this is a billing matter and we can’t see account info on a public forum, I can open a ticket for you, and further help.

Otherwise, if you’ve already tried to reach our support team, please send me your ticket number, and I’ll leave an internal note for them.

My ticket is # 2318415.  Hopefully someone can authorize the small refund since I can't utilize your service now that I am retired

Ooops, it looks like sometime last night Colton authorized a full refund.  Thanks for the help!!  Sorry for the earlier email

This policy is not very business/customer friendly at all.  If i understand it correctly dropbox is asking business customers to predict how many people they will have  on the team for the next twelve months and if people leave the team, then there is no refund.  Is that correct?

If that is the case, we will strongly consider migrating to one drive, which is free for 365 customers and allows you to change the number of licences you are paying for at any time.

This is crazy
