Refund for hello sign! As I been uninformed of the subscription

After the cancellation of my free trial for Dropbox I have been informed that I have been charged $247.88 AUS dollars ($180 USD) from Hello sign San Francisco.

I have never been informed of this application and did not know what it was, hence believe that it is your business mistake and would want my full refund of the charged payment. I believe it is ridiculous that the company has not sent any invoice, email or any billing information from here or HelloSign. I have sent through an enquiry to HelloSign and I am posting on the discussion to express my utter disappointment in the business. Especially during the adverse pandemic, I believe I have the right to understand this situation as a scam.

Honestly to be charged for an application which I have never heard of or be aware of their functions and purpose, it is ridiculous to be charged for something I never signed up for. For my understanding, I have only put in my details for Dropbox, thus, for Hello sign to have my details does not make sense.

As a customer it is very upsetting to be notified through my own credit card history to see that $247.88 AUS dollars have been charged with no prior information.

I would really appreciate it for your company to process the refund and I am aware that I have the full right too as well.

Hi @Mo-nokkim, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

As this is related to sensitive billing info, I’d recommend getting in contact with our support team directly to look into this matter in more detail.

You can do this by logging into your account, clicking this support link, scrolling down to 'Submit a help request', and providing as much info as possible.

Once you get a ticket ID from the automated response, please let me know the number here so I can locate it in our system!

The same situation happened to me this week. I did not even know I was registered for a HelloSign account and got charged on my credit card. How they got my credit card info is a mystery as I never knowingly created an account - did Dropbox share that info with them automatically? Very disappointing and deceiving business strategy. I will certainly file a complaint.

@Dot3 - they are the same company. There are banner adverts for HelloSign on the Dropbox site giving you pricing info and flows to help you sign up at discounted rates.

It happened with my account too! I am going to have to dispute with my bank. I am trying to get in touch with support. They used to have a chat support but they discontinued it. It was not explained to me clearly what kind of package I was purchasing. I purchased the 25$ a month package because I was told I would be charged 25$ a month. 

And then all of a sudden, I was charged 80$ and was told I was under the $6 a month package and the $80 was the annual fee. I was like... okay? I guess thats fine? 

And then last night I was charged $600 out of no where! I subscribed to the 25$ a month plan back in January (It is now march) and all of a sudden I am charged $600?!?!?! I was told it was $25 a month not $600 yearly!!!! I have the emails to prove it. 

Hellosign and dropbox super shaddy. I can't even get in contact with support.

Hi @bel58505, let's see what we can find on this! 

 

Have you tried using this form in regards to the Hello Sign charge? 

 

If I were you, I'd give it a go, and you can also use our Support channel, from an incognito tab while you're signed out of your Dropbox account.

 

Once you do, reply back to this thread, and let me know your ticket number, so I can locate it in our system.

The same situation happened to me 2 days ago. My free trial for Dropbox was ended april 30. Until then, I didn’t know I was registered for a HelloSign account. HelloSign has not sent any invoice, email or any billing information and didn’t answer to request a refund mail. “HelloSign does not provide refunds.” It is very ridiculous and unfair policy.

Did anyone have any luck with this?

 

I was changed by hellosign a day before my dropbox trial ended even though both said a 30 day free trial. 

 

This is extremely upsetting dropbox.
