Separate storage for private user using an NGO account

Separate storage for private user using an NGO account

I represent an NGO (nonprofit, voluntary, medieval history)  that want to share the society's Dropbox Basic account with some of the members working for it. The users all have private Dropbox Basic accounts. How can we giv them access to the NGO account's folders without charge their private Dropbox account.

Do we have to upgrade the NGO to a Business plan and create separate ID for the users?

Suggestions?

Hey @BjornRoar, thanks for using Dropbox and welcome to the Community!

While it's not recommended to share an individual account (it's against the Dropbox ToS), if you choose to upgrade to a Dropbox for Business teams plan, you might also be eligible for a discount

I hope this helps!

Thank you for your answer, Walter.

I think I was a bit short in the first message. The reason for the question was that I experienced that my private Dropbox storage space was reduced by the amount of storage used from a business account both synchronized on my PC. The accounts had different ID's.

I have no problem going for a Business plan, I just want to be sure that I can use the same Dropbox ID's for accessing both accounts without any mixup of the storage space.

I looked at the discounts terms for Non-profit organizations but they require a form 501(c)3. I do not know what that means for a Norwegian NGO.

Can you clarify what you mean by different IDs exactly @BjornRoar

Do you mean that those were two separate accounts and you had linked them in the desktop app?

Also, when you say you'd like to use the same Dropbox ID for accessing both account withouts any mixup of their storage, what exactly are you trying to accomplish?
