Unable to access Family package

Unable to access Family package

I have been given a link to access files as part of a family package.  After clicking on the link I can access DB but only the basic package and am told the files are too large to access.  We currently only have 5 users on the package and my email address is included - how can I access these files?

If your email is included you need to make sure that you are logged in to that account - it sounds like you are actually using a different one. You can see what your plan level is at www.dropbox.com/account/plan

Thanks Mark, yes, I am on the basic plan.  I was sent a link from the admin owner to share a folder but the problem is that the link takes me to my own DB and not into the shared folder - hope this makes sense?

Hi @joannagn

That is correct then - shared folders are something which are added to your own account and therefore use up quota. If you want to accept the shared folder you need enough space in your account to do so - regardless of what the other persons plan is.

If you only need read only access ask for a Read Only shared link instead.
