Unauthorised credit card charges

Unauthorised credit card charges

I have been charged $30 a month since June 2021 until Aug 2022.

My Dropbox account has been set to basic/free since March 2021.

These 14 charges are completely unauthorised/unrequested.

I have contacted Dropbox several times over the past week with zero response.

Please, I need someone to look into this. I have had to cancel my credit card completely - at great inconvenience to myself and I need the money refunded.

If you didnt give Dropbox your card details then you should be contacting your card details because somebody has forged your data.

Hey Mark,

Thanks for your reply.

I had a paid subscription at one point but cancelled it (successfully) So Dropbox absolutely have my card details.

It appears that the subscription has been restarted without my authorisation/consent and has been running for the past 14 months.

When logging into my account it is still set to basic/free and charge records show (correctly) that the paid subscription was cancelled in March 2021.

I need someone from Dropbox to reply to this.

Hey @annie Murray, welcome to our Community!

 

If your subscription was indeed successfully cancelled (you got a confirmation email), then it sounds like you probably have a second Dropbox account, or are paying for someone else's.

 

You can use the billing info from the payments you've made, on our payment lookup tool, to see which account the payments are connected to.
