Why do my settings say that I'm using 9.93 GB of 2.5 GB of storage?

Hi, can someone please explain why Dropbox is telling me that i’m “Using 9.93 GB of 2.5 GB storage”. It doesn’t make sense or am I missing something.

Hey @Poots, thanks for joining us on the Dropbox Community.

 

Have you taken a look at your files, to see if you can find a file or folder that could be bringing your account over quota?

 

You can follow the steps here, to view the size of files and calculate the size of folders on our website.

 

Also, shared folders take up space in the accounts of all the members, if you happen to have any.

 

Let me know what you find.
