Will adding a second account require data from the original to be re-synced?

Link or unlink two Dropbox accounts - Dropbox Help

 

In order to use the desktop app and maintain data sync of the original account, when you add a second account will this require the original account's data to be re-synced, or does it simply set up a second location for the new account data and leave the original data unaffected?

It simply sets up a new directory for the second account 🙂
