I am trying to subscribe to a plan, and I get this message instead of being able to sign up:
Your plan and billing information are managed externally
Same here. And the support in Chat Box is can't help.
Same. I need this sorted ASAP.
The chat said to contact support and then disappeared without being much help.
I did try to change via Paypal, put a credit card in instead, but it then said my currency was 'none'. I went into Paypal, my currency is fine and is in billing via dropbox...but still says 'none'...What the?
I have the same problem.
I was previously in a plus subscription and I accidentally canceled it.
Now I can't resubscribe it.
Dropbox always says: Your plan and billing information are managed externally.

I have the exact error massage.
I tried to upgarde a view days ago, but paypal had some problems. SO i could not complete the upgrade.
and now i get the error message " Your plan and billing information are managed externally"
I also checked google and Apple, there are no plans active and i never used one of them to pay for dropbox services.
One more here.
Was paying dropbox user for 12 years, Pro/Plus plans, always paid directly on the website, never via Google/Apple/anything. Couldn't renew subscription earlier this year due to card issues, got downgraded to basic.
Want to restore/upgrade to my proper plan now, but billing page just shows the history with no actual billing settings, trying to upgrade via the plan selector just kicks me out to the default settings page with "Your plan and billing information are managed externally" message.
and if its managaed by google so what ?? why cant i upgrade the plan???
I am on the basic plan at the moment. We have been on the Plus plan for 3 years, it was on the wrong credit card and it was mistakenly reported as fraudulent and a chargeback was issued. Our plan reverted to Basic, I am trying to re-sign up for Plus to regain the Plus services with the correct credit card.

I am facing this same challenge and I tired login with Google as well but could not find any link and I am not an apple user.

SAME is happening here. Someone at Dropbox PLEASE respond so we can get this fixed!
