I just attempted to log into a Dropbox acct to be informed you were sending a 6 digit code to the email address associated with the acct. I then logged into the email account Dropbox says they are sending the 6 digit code to - nothing is there. I've done this now twice with a gap of 15 min. between these codes being sent. After refreshing the message retrievals, I checked the email's Spam, Trash, etc. and even sent the account an email from a different email address. That message showed up. There is nothing showing up from Dropbox. How am I to access my Dropbox acct if the email with this 6 digit code (that I'd prefer to turn off) is not arriving in the email acct associated with it?? This is very frustrating.

My husband has the same issue: he's trying to login but doesn't receive the code. The e-mail isn't in the spam folder either. Can you help us out as well?
Hi, @Hannah, could you please help us? His email is [removed per the Community's Guidelines]. He can't login because he doesn't get any codes. He paid for a professional account...

Hi guys
we have a similar problem. The six-digit codes is sent even though I have manually set the respective switch to "Off"
I want the files in my dropbox account to be viewed by third parties, so I share credentials for dropbox access. But if a code is sent to my dropbox e-mail each time someone else but me tries to log on this does not make a lot of sense.
How can I deactivate the two-step authorization, means no code is sent?

As for your case now @MusicMatt, allow me to clarify that the one time code you're getting is not part of the two-step authorization, it's an additional security measure.
Also, I'd suggest not sharing your account's credentials as it's against our TOS. You can instead use shared links to grant others view rights.

I'm sorry to see you have been having some trouble logging into your Dropbox account as you were not receiving your verification code. I see my colleague has moved your support to email but I just wanted to follow up with you today to see if you have managed to log in yet? same problem here. trying to login using a different machine but security code never shows up. nor browser or desktop app.
using no 2fa. checked many forums, added no-reply@, different browsers etc.
any help please?
