Hello, We're reaching out because we haven't been able to receive a response through submitting a ticket. One of our previous team members had a personal Dropbox account through Gmail, [personal information removed per the Community's Guidelines], for years. That account got put under our dropbox business paid account for about 3 years. She was recently removed from the team account, 3 months ago, and by doing so, apparently, the original personal account was deleted. Since that business account access was removed, she haven't been able to get in and she have been logged out of her personal account on all her devices. When she tried to log back in with her Gmail, it says "looks like there is no Dropbox account with that email address." Which is incorrect, since we could give you the email and password she used to log into dropbox with for years.

 

Please let us know how to restore this account. She has years of materials in there that she do not have access to elsewhere, and we feel a bit anxious that somehow they are now lost in the void.

I'm afraid that won't be possible. Once a team member has been removed, the team admin has just seven days to restore the account. After that, the account cannot be restored, even by Dropbox themselves.

 

When removing a member from a team, if the intent is to let the user keep their original account, the account must be converted back to an individual account.

Is there any other way to restore it? Even if we paid Dropbox to do it or register for a plan?

Hi @templebodyteam, unfortunately, if a Dropbox account has been deleted by the team admin, and not recovered within 7 days, then it wouldn't be possible to restore the account via the team. 

 

If you did choose to transfer the files to another member on the team when the account was deleted, they might still exist on your Dropbox Business team under another member's account.

 

If not, then it wouldn't be possible to recover the account or the files since the 30 day recovery period has passed, so paying for an upgrade wouldn't help since the files would've been permanently deleted from the servers now.
