Re: Dropbox hung up when signing in from a new computer

Dropbox hung up when signing in from a new computer

Hello,

I think it happened to me before, but I don't remember how it got fixed. I looked up the internet, but wasn't helpful.

When I sign in from a brand new computer, it hangs around after writing in the password and never proceed to the next page.

It is not a wrong spelling of username/password, nor an internet connection issue, I just don't know what it is. Everything looks fine until the last step comes in, then it just hangs for +1 hour I waited.

I created a new account smoothly in seconds, no problems, just to write in this claim asking for help

I also tried to refresh page, log in from different browsers, but the problem persists

I'm using Windows 11 Pro on a desktop computer

Thanks in advance

@Walter

I've just tried connecting to a new wifi  network and, after sometime, it finally proceeded! ask some security questions then finally was able to log in!!

I'm replying from my main account now :slightly_smiling_face:
Many thanks!

Hi there @Mahmoodalmoosawi2 - sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

If you happen to be running an antivirus or other security software, could you temporarily disable them and try again, preferably from a browser with no extensions or plugins running?

If you still get the same results, please send me a screenshot of the error or the last screen you can get to.

Thanks!

Yes I did what you described, no antivirus running (windows defender is off), and tried Edge & Firefox which don't have extensions . There is no visible error message, but the final page is this , a continuous loop that doesn't proceed to the next page

Can you maybe try another WiFi network @Mahmoodalmoosawi2?

Also, did you reboot your computer since you first noticed this?

Thanks for the suggestion,
I was able to restart my computer, but couldn't connect to another wifi network

However, the problem persists

Hey @Mahmoodalmoosawi2! Can you check this via an incognito window, as well?
