GDPR from an email

I have received a marketing email from dropbox to my work email, which is used by several colleagues (we use dropbox for work). The email though is telling me I'm not taking advantage of my dropbox account and the link view my account then takes me to my personal dropbox account, which I certainly do not want to be available to my work colleagues to be able to riffle through.

How can this even be possible?  The accounts have completely different email addresses associated.

This is a huge abuse of GDPR and worries me deeply about the security of dropbox.

Has anyone else had this?

Check the actual link in the email message (hover over it, don't click it). It's unlikely that it points directly to your personal account. More than likely it's a generic link to the Dropbox website and you were already signed in with your personal account.

I understand your concern over this matter. As you mentioned this work email is used by several colleagues, does this mean that you're sharing your Dropbox account credentials with them as well?
