Re: How to Remove Third Party App Permission

How to Remove Third Party App Permission

A third party iOS print app requested access to my Dropbox contents for the purpose of printing individual files to a printer without AirPrint support. It failed miserably.

How, in Dropbox, may I manage which third party apps have access to my account contents so I may revoke it?

Thank you.

Hi @ElanRemford,

Take a look in Apps tab of your setting. Find the application you want to revoke, select it and... just disconnect. That's it.

Hope this helps.

Thanks much. I kept trying to find the appropriate setting in the app rather than the web interface.

Hm.. I'm not sure what exactly you mean here. If you mean to unlink third party application from official Dropbox application, I'm not aware of such option available. If you mean unlink from the third party application itself, there is such option available from Dropbox as an interface, but it's another story if it's implemented in the particular application on focus - check this in the application itself or in its documentation (check is there something like unlink button or similar). If you mean are you able as a developer to add such a feature to you own application, as I said, Yes - there is such option; take a look here.

Hope this sheds additional light.

Hi @ElanRemford thanks for posting.

You can manage your third party apps on the Dropbox mobile app if you open Dropbox, then tap on the three horizontal lines on the top left and then settings.

From there, scroll down to the ''Manage default apps'' settings.

Let me know how it goes.
