I'm admin for my Team but now only have view privileges and can't modify my own privileges to restore full editing. How can I restore full editing privileges?
I think it's a Dropbox issue Jon. Somebody else open a post about this so, with you there's at least 3 of us with the same issue. I started with this problem last night. Tried to reinstall Dropbox but then realized that the problem is even on the web.
Thanks for the response, Alfredo. Good to know I'm not alone. However, I don't have time to wait for Dropbox to fix the issue so I corrected it manually:
Everything seems to be working now. (Though, as noted below, this will wipe out any versions you may have stored in Dropbox for your files.)
Indeed, this may be a Dropbox issue. Dropbox engineers are aware of it and I'll reply again with any updates as I hear of them.
One caveat to the solution I provided above, doing this will most likely wipe out any previous versions of folder & files in your team folder. If this is important to you and you are experiencing this issue, you should wait for Dropbox to correct the issue. If you are on a deadline and have the files backed up locally, the steps I took above will work to get you operational again but at the cost of losing your previous versions and the pain of making everyone on your team re-join it.
Same problem here... My guess: There's a maintenance going on that placed files in a read only mode. I think we have to wait for dropbox to end the maintenance.
Add another one to the list of people with problems.
Same problem for me and the rest of my team.
I'm having this same issue. Dropbox support is abysmal - so I'm glad I found this thread to see that I'm not the only one having this issue. Also makes me very hesitant to want to eventually upgrade from Pro ("Teams") to "Business". I rely to much on Dropbox to have issues like this go un-suported. Already wasted too much business time this morning trying to figure this out.
Same problem here. I've spent an hour or so trying to fix this before I came across this thread. Definitely killing productivity time when I can't same my work to dropbox. And time is money.... Hopefully Dropbox will reimburse people or do something to make it right...
