Login to Dropbox after changing Google account e-mail

Login to Dropbox after changing Google account e-mail

Dmitry K
New member | Level 2
Hello all!
I've encountered the following issue: I used to login Dropbox using my Google account that had as a login name an e-mail that no longer existed (the e-mail company closed very long time ago). Recently I decided to update my Google account login name with a working e-mail, thinking that somehow while logging in "Via Google", it will still work for all logins.
But it doesn't work that way, unfortunately, and Dropbox sees it as a new account now.
How could I change the login of my Dropbox account to the new e-mail namename and get back the access to my account?

Thank you for your advice!

Hey @Dmitry K, thanks for reaching out to us with this and sorry to see you're having trouble.

Is it possible that you're signed into your account on a device?

If so, can you try the steps in this article to "reset your password on a device you're signed into", to see if they help?

Keep me posted.
