My Files Have Been Subsumed Into a Team Folder. Help.

My Files Have Been Subsumed Into a Team Folder. Help.

Hi there,

While trying to get access to some shared files somehow my account has been merged and subsumed into a team folder with a different admin. I have no idea how this happened but how do I reverse this so I am the admin of my own files and account. It's crazy.

So to repeat. I tried to get some files out of "Team X". During that process all of my folders and files "My Folders Y" now reside within the "Team X" folder and for the life of me I can't seem to do anything about it!!! The permissions are set so only I can view the folders, although not sure if that pertains to the "Team X" admin or not.

What a **bleep**show.

You weren't accessing a shared folder. You were invited to and joined their Business account. When doing so, you merged your account into their team account, effectively making them the owner of your account. In order to leave the team, the team admin needs to convert your account back to an individual account. It's important that they don't just remove you from the team as doing so would delete your account. If that were to happen, the team admin only has seven days to restore your account.
