Happy New Year.
Had DropBox for years. PC crashed, so I got a new one. Reinstalling DropBox and it logs me in with username and password, but before giving me access, it asks me to type in the 6-digit verification code. Problem is the email domain no longer exists.
I can log in fine, but no matter what I do to log in, it asks for the emailed six digit code. Cannot contact support without logging in. Created a free account and cannot get past the support chatbot saying I don't have any support options on that account. Help articles are no help as the verification code is not allowing me access AFTER logging in correctly.
How do I get around that? Or even better. How do I get access to a human being in support?
Thanks.
Without access to the email account (or a device already logged in) I'm afraid it isnt possible to gain access to an account.

I read that article before, thanks. It works until the verification code.
Does support monitor these forums, because all I need is to turn off the verification code for one login. Everything else is working, that is the only obstacle.
There's 8-9 years of stuff in there. Frankly, if this is the level of support for a customer then I need to rethink my corporate plans for using DropBox.
Hi @Elfenstone; Happy New Year!
Is it OK if I open a ticket for you, so that we can look into this internally and see if there’s something more to be done?
If that’s alright, I can message you to the email address that’s linked to your Community profile here.

Hi Nancy,
Happy New Year.
No, thank you. I accessed a backup and recovered the files that way.
I've always assessed companies on how they treat their smallest customer. As someone who operates IT for a 1,200 person multi-national, I won't be spending any more time with DropBox personally or professionally.
