I created a free personal account that I'm using for work (with work email). I shared a folder with some people. 2 days later I get an email saying someone at "our business name.com" wants to share a folder. Odd nobodies name was at the beginning of this email address. Also wasn't expecting anyone to create a folder.
Is there a way to verify this is legitimate or not?!

The email I recieved came from .... no-reply@dropboxmail.com
I received it from my Outlook account but can't verify the source. I forwarded the email to abuse@dropbox.com and recieved what looks like 2 fake tickets support emails within 5 minutes of each other. They were identical emails. Below is what part of the message said. "Centre" - spelling error. The email came from abuse@dropbox.zendesk.com They gave me a ticket number at the start of the email which was a full sentence that was clearly a link as it was in blue font.
"In the meantime, have you checked out our Help Centre for FAQs, how-to articles and more? https://db.tt/JabnP6AEn4
Thanks for getting back to me, @DragonBetz.
The domains you mention in your post are verified and the hyperlink seems to redirects you to our Help Center.
Since you've submitted a ticket, I'd recommend waiting for a reply as they'll be able to give you more relevant info.
Hope this helps to some extent!

Sounds good. I'll wait for a reply. I didn't think I would be recieving anything back from simply reporting it but I'll keep waiting.
No worries, @DragonBetz. Keep me posted!

Still waiting for a contextual answer. We just rolledout more documents to a larger group of employees and this same email started to resurface with people. Nobody in our company is creating this "LAC Marketing" team dropbox folder that keeps getting pushed to us.
Hey @DragonBetz, sorry to hear that you're still having trouble with this.
I'm afraid I can't help from my end here, so could you please reply back to the ticket interaction that you have with out team? They'll be able to give you more relevant info.
Thanks again!
