how can I modify file permissions?

hi,

from my Mac I can't change my file permission. I need to send a file to someone that could modify it, so I tried to share it from mail, but when I try to change the permission settings I can't select the modify permissions (so the message says that "everyone who has the file could VIEW it", but I need that everyone who has the file could MODIFY it). I am from Mac OS and from dropbox on safari, and the file I'm trying to send is a .zip extension.

Can you please send me a screenshot of the page you get stuck on so that I can have a visual too?

Have you considered putting this file in a folder and sharing the folder instead perhaps?
