Hi
I have 2 accounts one my personal and other an organisational account. I find convenient to use the app on my windows pc and I find that I can see the organisational one not my other.
I have gone to online account and logged out of the one that is there and even when logged into my personal account I can't see if in windows explorer. Any ideas what i am doing wrong?
many thanks!
Hi
When you logged out did you also either delete or rename the Dropbox folder on your device? If you didnt when you tried to log in again Dropbox will realise that theres already an install there and try and use it.
Simply put, Dropbox is not designed to do what you are trying/want to do and doing so is going to put you at risk of huge data loss. You need to decide which account to have on the machine and which not to and just stick to that OR as I said set up a second user account on the machine and use that.

Hi @DebraV, hope you’re doing great!
From what I understand, you’d like to pair your two Dropbox accounts, so that both of them are accessible/syncing on your computer at the same time, right?
To do this, one of them will need to be on a Business plan (in this case, your organisational account).
If that’s true, then you can pair them with these steps on the web and desktop app.
If you need any further help, I’ll be here.

Hi thanks for your response. One account is an organisational one and the other is my personal account. I was wondering if there is a way of viewing either one or the other via the pc app. Is there a way to log out of one to allow the other to appear?

The only way to do this is set up a second user account on the computer and install Dropbox on to that. Then when you want to use the other data log out of one user account and in to the other.

Hi Mark
I am still confused about what I am doing wrong. I went into Dropbox and logged out of my organisation account and logged into my personal account. I clicked on install Dropbox App which it said that it was already installed.
I get a message that I am still logged in under my organisation account. Do I have to delete the linked device on the organisation account to display my personal account and then reinstall when I want to use the organisation account and vice versa?
Its like I have logged out of the organisation account on dropbox.com but not recognising that i have on the app (and according to the alert message below)
Images below....1. message when logged in personal account and wanting access the app. 2. Organisational account devices 3. Personal account devices.
Sorry to be so confused
message i get when i log out of org account and currently in personal acct
