Re: Someone attempting to hack my account

Someone attempting to hack my account

I get several emails per day (for the last three days) sending me a one time security code to login to my account.

They have not yet accessed my account but I want to avoid this if possible.

What is the best way to protect myself in this situation?  Should I change my email so they no longer know my login username?

Upon doing a search regarding this I was told to contact support.

I have a free account so it looks like I cannot submit a ticket to support.  Is that true?

Please advise.  Thank you for any & all replies.

Hey @Jiffy, thanks for coming to our Community with this and sorry to hear this is happening.

If it is indeed not you or someone you know, that's attempting to login, there are some ways to make your account safer.

If they know your Dropbox email address, you can change that here.

You can also change your password from your Security page.

And lastly, we do recommend you enable two-step verification as well, to ensure that your account is always safe.

Let me know if you have any questions.
