I tried to share a file and my email address could not be verified. I found that it is not entered correctly in the account. Seems easy to edit but I have to verify the email address before changing it. This cannot be done since the address on the account is not a valid address. So, how do I get the address changed?

Dropbox invia molte email prima che l'account venga eliminato. È anche menzionato nei termini di servizio.
Hi,
I just opened new account and wrote my email incorrectly!
The email I wrote is also taken and thus I can't even open it for myself.
I can't change the email either. And I can't send out verification request either to this incorrect email!
What can I do? How can I change my own email to this account??
I could open up new account one but then I'd miss out on ACER promo given here.
HELP!

Hey @PJV2023, sorry to hear about this.
Was the typo on the email made on the email name (before the @) or the domain (after the @)?

Hi,
it was before the @.
I was suppose to type name1.name2@gmail.com but I forgot to put the ".name2" part there. Don't ask me how..
So it's a totally wrong email address there now.

Hi @PJV2023, do you have access to the account at the moment, in order to try and change the wrong address, using the account's settings?

I have access to account but since the owner of email address that I (accidentally) used has not verified the email, I can't change the email.
I have now changed the password and took in use 2FA to keep the account connected to me. Hope that was a smart decision..
Now only how to change the associated email to mine?

Hi @PJV2023, without verifying the original email address, it wouldn't be possible to change the email on the account.
The verification needs to come first, prior to changing the email address.
As the email is owned by someone else, the best option I can think of is to download your data from the site, unlink any connected devices, delete the files from the site permanently, and finally delete the account entirely for good measure.
After that, you can create the correct account and use that one normally.

Understood & Agreed.
Is there any chance to get the ACER promo space/time or do I lose it now?
Would be shame to lose it after just gaining it with the new laptop..

If you already claimed the promotion, there's no way to transfer the space or claim it again on another account.
Thought so. Trying to sort the verification email now with the person behind the wrong email. If it succeeds then I can change the email.
Thanks to all for your support!
