Can't share folder because it is in a shared folder - except is isn't!

Hi, I am trying to share two specific folders with a colleague, so that she can upload files to them. Dropbox keeps telling me that I can't share the folders, only the links, because they are within a shared folder, but I cannot see any parent folder which is shared. For some reason Dropbox will let me share the grandparent folder with her, but when I do that the contents of that folder fills up her entire Dropbox and she doesn't have enough space to upload anything. Is this simply an error, or is there something I need to do differently?

For those who need a visual example:

Folder A > Folder B > Folder C > Folder E

Folder A > Folder B > Folder D > Folder F

I need to share folders E and F only. Folders A, B, C, and D are not shared with anyone - only I have access. I can't share folders C or D either but I am able to share folder B!

Re: Can't share folder because it is in a shared folder - except is isn't!

Hi there, if you’re able to share folder B, then it means that this folder is shared.

Have you followed the steps to unshare the folder completely? Simply removing all members from a folder aside from yourself doesn’t unshare it.

Let me know if this works.
