Gmail attachments - "Save to Dropbox" button active area is too big

Level 4

When dealing with attachments in Gmail, the "Save to Dropbox" button clickable active area is to big and bleeds in to the "Download" icon. I keep opening the Dropbox dialog when I intend to just download the file due to this.

Anyone else experiencing this? Can Dropbox address this?

The image shows the official active area that's indicated by Gmail itself when I hover over the Dropbox icon, showing that it bleeds into the Download icon:Screen Shot 2018-09-14 at 2.05.50 PM (2).png

Hey there @abeeiamnot - sorry to hear that!

Could you please tell me if this persists on other browsers or an incognito window? Also, have you tried clearing your browser's cache to see if this will amend this behavior?

Let me know what you find and we'll take it from there.

Yeah, @Walter, this still happens in other browsers (tested Safari and Opera), in incognito mode, and after clearing cache. I'm on Mac (Mojave, but observed the behavior while on Yosemite as well) with all browsers up to date.

Thanks for the swift reply @abeeiamnot - most obliged.

Would it be OK with you if I reached out to you via email to the address you use for your Forum's profile to look into this together?

Hello,

I'd like to say I am having exactly the same issue (using gmail in Chrome) and it is extremely frustrating, as 99% of the time I want to download files onto my computer and not Dropbox.

Have you been able to resolve the issue? It feels to me that the 4 icons should be aligned on a single line from left to right, rather than having the straight download the dropbox button below each other.

Thank you

Iroise

No solution yet. Dropbox help contacted me personally but they haven't replied after I sent them some evidence of the issue.
