I'm looking into Dropbox professional and have 2 questions. First is, can I send requests (or provide a link) to clients who are not signed up with Dropbox to send me information? Second is can clients see what is in my Dropbox that isn't from them? Thanks!!!
To directly address your concerns now, yes, you're able to open up a file request from your end (i.e. your Dropbox account) where others will be able to upload files (to your account) even without having a Dropbox account themselves (all they'd need is a valid email address) as our file requests feature enables a requester to have files uploaded to their Dropbox account by other individuals.
Moreover, if you'd like to share a folder without impacting the recipient's quota, you can share a link to the folder, instead which allows users to view or download a one-way, read-only copy of the folder. Anyone with the link can view the contents, but can’t edit them.
Last but not least, note that every folder you create in your Dropbox is private by default. However, a special type of folder you can create is a shared folder. These folders allow you to share files with other Dropbox users. Please note that while it is shared, it can only be accessed by people you explicitly invite.
I hope this information helps and for more information on our plans, features and pricing you can always visit the following page: https://www.dropbox.com/plans
