Upload / edit a file in a shared folder with a user who is not a member of "group"

I have started a free trial in Dropbox Business, also created a folder with a share link.

Share link is encrypted with password.

Will users who do not belong to my "group" be able to upload / edit files inside that folder given they have the password to the link?

Hey there @xchrist0pher  - how are you today?

Allow me to clarify that shared links are the way to go when you'd like to give view rights to others - not edit ones.

Should you need others to edit, you can share a folder directly with them. Note that the folder will take up space on the accounts of all members then.

One way to achieve that would be to ask the others access and download the files from the mentioned password protected shared links and then have them upload them back to your account through a File Request.

Last but not least, if you are interested in sharing a quota pool between multiple users, we do have a Dropbox Business subscription. You can read more about Dropbox Business on our website here: https://www.dropbox.com/business

I hope this information helps and please let me know if you have any more questions!
