Hello

I am trying to make a folder public, but whenever I share the link the receivers (including myself) cannot download the files. We are guide to the file on dropbox but the file cannot be downloaded.   An example is: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/f549knzc9eg3jvb/AACdPY9KOKqRpTrKLhYlKOWia?dl=0

This is not in a public folder.    But it is  a problem that has happen again after March 15.

An immediate answer is appreciated.

Thanks

Bjarke

I found the solution here

https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=13879821

last I tried, which was a couple months ago, replacing the "www" with a "dl" in a public link made it work for hotlinking. so, starting with

https://www.dropbox.com/s/2s31p57eod49dva/1371724997329.png?...

and navigating to this

https://dl.dropbox.com/s/2s31p57eod49dva/1371724997329.png?d...

results in a redirect to this

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/2s31p57eod49dva/13717249...

which can be hotlinked.

So, what I've done is change the folder to anyone with a link, ( i don't know if this is required ), then right click on the file, copy dropbox link which creates a

https://www.dropbox.com/...link.filetype?dl=0

So just remove the ?dl=0 and change the www to dl

Works for me and now my podcast can continue.

The reason it’s not working is you have 2 change the last character from 0 to a 1
