Shared content isn't syncing updates made to it by myself or others, any ideas?

Hi myself & a colleague are both working on same file, i am working on a laptop colleague on a mac & information we are adding is not syncing with one & another & saving.

Can anyone advise? or anyone had similar issues?

So the first thing I’d like to ask is if you see the updated shared content if you view your account online? Also, please let me know the current sync status of your desktop app (and your colleague's if possible). You can see this by clicking the Dropbox icon in your system tray/menu bar.
 
I’d recommend checking if the folder/files contain any bad characters that won’t allow syncing to the device due to OS restrictions. You can use this link here to automatically search your Dropbox account for these bad characters.
 
Finally, how was the content shared? Are you using a shared folder where both of you have edit rights?
