Dropbox folder properties

Level 2

I just checked my dropbox folder inside Windows.  It said the folder contained over 2 million files and used 13 TB of space.  I have a 1TB drive.  How is this possible?

Hey there @Dynastydan  - that's strange indeed!

Can you please send me a screenshot so I can have a better look into this?

While you're at it, could you let me know the exact status of the desktop app on the affected computer? Is it 'Up to date' or still syncing by any chance?

You can always look at the Dropbox icon in your taskbar and see if it is done syncing. When Dropbox is fully synced then you should see a tick followed by the words “Up to date” on the menu. If you do not see this then can you please let me know what the exact message being displayed there reads?

Thanks in advance for your response!

Oh, last but not least, note that the most recent, stable version (74.4.115) of our desktop app just came out tomorrow and you can find it on the following page directly in case you'd like to update it on your device(s):
