Dear Walter,

Are these statements in order correct?

  • First our Plan wil get an upgrade from 1TB to 2TB
  • After being upgraded we will have to wait 2 weeks to get Smart Sync.
  • We will receive an e-mail when Smart Sync has been enabled.
  • We do not have to upgrade our Dropbox Windows/MAC client to get this feature.

Actually no they're not entirely correct, @TuurieThese features will be available to you altogether in a couple of days so make sure to keep an eye out for an email that will let you know when your account has been updated. 

You won't be needing to upgrade your desktop clients to get access to Smart Sync. Just make sure to allow the Dropbox system extension on your machines so you can enjoy Smart Sync seamlessly. You can find more information about this here:

Upgrading space on Dropbox Plus

I recently heard that Dropbox is increasing the amount of space on the DB Plus account from 1TB to 2TB, and it looks like it is for the same price. Is there a way that I can get this extra 1TB of space, as I purchased a DB Plus account before this change was announced? I would very much like an extra TB of space.

Have you rebooted your computer(s) lately @Tuurie ?

If you do and still don't see the Smart Sync options, please let me know and I'll reach out to your Dropbox associated email address to have a further look into this internally.
