Annoying Persisting Problem with Available Space

I am currently having a 7,25 GB storage. Even though I emptied everything in dropbox, including permanently deleting shared folders and files, Drobox indicates that I am still using 4,3 GB for regular files and only have 2,9 GB availble space. What is wrong?

Hey @JRAP, thanks for reaching out to the Dropbox Community.

Is it possible that you still have some files in your main Dropbox, that might be taking up your space?

Have you used the steps in this article, to view the size of your files and calculate the size of your folders, to see what might be the culprit?

Or do you perhaps have any backed up files here? These would take up your space as well.

Let me know what you find.

Thanks for your input, Hannah.

You are right; the culprit was an unintended backup. I managed to get all my available space back after erasing the backup.

Again, thank you so much for helping!
