Drop box says I have no more storage but I do

I am frustrated ... a friend asked to share a folder with me... when I tried to load,  I get a message saying my two GB of memory are full... but my account says I have 7.5 with most of it unused but I cannot contact a real person...

What exactly is the error? Usually the wording of the error says how much more space you need to accept it not what is needed for the whole share.
