Dropbox "full"

My Dropbox account is showing 3.43 GB used out of 4.25 GB available. Yet, I'm receiving emails from Dropbox that my account is full and that I should buy more space. I cannot see a way that I can ask Dropbox to stop sending the messages so I'm sharing this with the community as a way of complaining.
