I get strange warning emails about my Dropbox space regressing to 2GB while I had 17.38GB for over 10 years (through various referrals and special programs).
Can anyone explain what's happening? Should I ignore this notification?

Could you please have a look at your plan tab and let us know what's reported in regards to your quota exactly?

Using 16.35 GB of 17.38 GB storage
It seems that you're only about a GB below your account's quota limit @mfouesneau
What did the email notification you received mention exactly?

The email (which I do not have anymore) suggested I could not access my data soon unless I reduced usage to 2GB, which is very confusing.

For now, it looks like you’re alright (as long as you don’t surpass the 17.38GB showing in your screenshot).
However, if you do get this type of email again, feel free to send us a screenshot here, and we’ll take a look.
