Email received claiming I am out of space and need to upgrade

My account shows I am using 23% of 2.0 TB yet I get emails such as this.

Hi Chris,

Please consider adding more storage.

Your Dropbox is full and is no longer syncing files. New files won't be backed up online.

Is this a glitch or does Dropbox have a kind dishonest thing going here?

Hey there @JCJ70, sorry to hear about this.

 

Are you 100% sure that the email address you're receiving those emails is linked to your Dropbox Plus account?

 

Do you maybe have another Dropbox account associated with another email address of yours?
