How do I delete backed up files?

I have Dropbox Basic. I accidently initiated Dropbox Backup but cancelled it when I realized it was filling up the storage space. Forum articles say go to the "Backup" tab under "Preferences" to delete the backup files, but I have no "Backup" tab. How do I delete the files?

The article you mentioned is referring to the app's preferences which you can access through the Dropbox icon in your menu bar/system tray.

 

Otherwise, you'd need to do it through this page online.
