Hi Guys,

My local Windows Dropbox is fully synced with my online Dropbox.  Windows Explorer file/properties shows my Dropbox folder is 576 MB but to my surprise, dropbox.com and dropbox app both say my dropbox is full. I have checked the plan tab and found my regular file size is 3.4 GB which is not correct. My shared folder only takes less than 100 MB. What is going on here? Why the discrepancy? Any inputs?

Thanks,

Tao

I have an issue, I am not a premium member and so only have 2 GB of data. I hit the maximum amount of data a while ago - and despite deleting most of my files, the data hasn’t come back. Does anyone know why this is or if it does come back?

The space should come back instantly unless you in a Team which can take up to 8 hours.

However, you will still show out of space until you are below that - so deleting 100,000 files wont change that error if you are still over quota. Another thing to check is if you have set up Backup: www.dropbox.com/backups

Hi all, happy Monday!

For anyone that's still struggling with space being used incorrectly on their Dropbox account (and if you haven't already tried that), can you try to delete folders within the following link: https://www.dropbox.com/backups/PC?

If the issue remains, don't hesitate to let me know!

Hello!

My Dropbox reports being full, with 2.04 GB (I've got the Basic account), except checking all files visible in Windows Explorer as well as here in my dropbox.com account, it all adds up to just about 800 MB. It apparently started with some kind of fumble on my behalf: I plugged in an extern USB harddrive into my PC, abd I got some sort of message - well, I didn't really take much care of it, because I thought it was from the harddrive. So I can't really reproduce what it said and what I clicked - something about some kind of backup. While I was working with the harddrive I suddenly got the message that my Dropbox was full and that I should upgrade for more memory space.

So, point of the matter is: There are apparently about 1.2 MB of data in my Dropbox which do not appear in any file list, which I absolutely don't need, and also can't get rid of, and block my Dropbox from being used until I manage to do so.

Can someone help me here? How can I delete these 1.2 MB of "invisible" data?

Thanks in advance!

I am having the same issue.  I contacted support and got a generic email with links to their support page!  I am happy to delete the Regular files, but I con't figure out how to get to them.
