My storage is full, cause my PC files are uploaded there. How to stop the auto uploads of photos?

I have a free Dropbox account but my storage is full because all my pc files have been automatically uploaded. I have removed the auto upload of photos but how do I stop the upload of all other docs please? Will removing them from Dropbox remove them from all other places on my pc? Thanks. Dropbox Newbie.

You enabled the backup feature. Refer to the following help article for information on how to disable it.
