My storage space is full?

I get a message that my storage space is full, but when I check it is far below the limits. I cannot contact anyone from Dropbox about it. any suggestions what to do?

Have you set up Backups at all?

Thanks for responding.

No, I have not set up backups. What is it and what does it have to do with storage space?

Backups use your storage space, but, annoyingly dont show on quota pages. So if you have anything showing at the link I sent then that uses up storage.

What do Dropbox user levels mean?
