I just bought a new computer.  When I sync the files from dropbox to my new computer, is it adding the complete file to my computer or a link to the file using dropbox.  I am asking the question, because I have over a TB of space used in my dropbox account.  I don't have that much space on this new computer.  Will does file take up all the space on my new computer causing it to shut down.

Hey @brndvljr, thanks for posting your question today!

When you have a paid account and link a new computer to your Dropbox, the application will ask you how you want to sync your files.

You'll have the option to sync them as local or online-only. You can choose online-only to save hard drive space.

You can read more about this feature here.

Let me know if you have any questions.
