Storage Space
Looking for help with managing the storage space in your Dropbox account? Talk to the Dropbox Community and get advice from members.
Hello,
I have been invited to share a folder with my buddies. This folder contains a lot of stuff. Is the space of this shared folder added to the quota of my account? I get very often a message, that I'm close to over quota.
Best regards
Ernest
Hey @Ernest Mattiussi, thanks for joining our Community!
Shared folders do count against towards the quota of all of their members and you can always check your plan tab to see your quota breakdown.
I hope this helps!

Yes. The shared folder exists in your account, so it takes up space in your account.
Thank you very much.
