Is it possible to cancel syncing if I've chosen to Save to Dropbox?

someone sent me a dropbox link to download a file. I selected - save to my dropbox- but the file is soo big that exceeds my dropbox space limits. 

i can not stop the sync action - only pause it. 

Now i can't find the file in my disk - i see the sync process on pause - and dropbox says that the 143% of my space is already occupied whereas in my disk is only the 30%!!! 

I believe this is a bug of dropbox software

Hey @yfinet, by the looks of it, I believe that it isn’t a bug; let me break down the course of events & I’d happily further clarify matters if you have any additional questions! 
 
Now, based on your description, the file/ folder you saved to your account has indeed exceeded your current space allowance, Dropbox tried to sync it regardless & from that point on your initial choice couldn’t be retracted midway. Following, surpassing your account quota triggered the Notification you received, which pertains to your Dropbox space- not your hard disk space- thus leaving you slightly puzzled.
