Selective sync on Mac - files are not in folders

Level 2

Hi!

I have just used selective sync to copy just my work files onto my mac.

My files are filed neatly under each client, then each project, and then each type of file.

When I have synced the main folders, containing the sub folders, all the files are synced but are all floating around in one big folder!

Any ideas on why this has happened and how to correct it?

Thanks in advance, G

Hey there (@gfrohlich), from what I gather based on your description, it’s my understanding that you’ve unchecked most items on your Selective Sync settings & you’ve opted to sync only a small portion pertaining to your work, am I on the right path?

If so, then your existing directory structure should be reflected across devices & operating systems (🛡️, 🍎, Penguin) however could you clarify how you’re seeing your files floating? Are you seeing that in your Dropbox folder or elsewhere on your Mac?

Any detail you could include on this discussion here would be very helpful & thanks a lot for taking the time to clarify matters for me. I’ll be awaiting your next reply & I hope that you enjoy the rest of your day until we talk again!
