IT director gone! -- has taken admin account with him

Hey all,

My orgs IT Director has left and is holding some account hostage. Dropbox appears to be one of them. How do I regain control of our admin abilities?

Hey @ekarpowicz, thanks for reaching out to us here!

I'm sorry to hear about the issue you're having.

Firstly, are they the only admin in your team? If not, another admin can remove their admin permissions and suspend their account to prevent them taking any actions.

Should they be the only admin on the team, do you have access to the email address that their Dropbox account is under? Is the email under a company domain?

We're working on getting access to their email as we speak. Is there another means in the interim? The email is under a company domain..

That's great news @ekarpowicz!

Unless you have another admin on the team, the fastest way to regain access to the account is by gaining access to the email address as you're doing now. 

Once you have access to the email, you can request a password reset for the Dropbox account.

Then, I'd suggest signing out all web sessions and unlink any connected devices from their Security page here.

Unfortunately, the 2-step verification redirects to one of the individuals old phones. How do we bypass that?
