I am pretty sure you can only do this upon renewal of your contract to a minimum of 3 (it used to be 5).

You can alter the licences you need at the Admin dashboard: https://www.dropbox.com/team/admin/dashboard

Entering a minus symbol and a number doesn’t work to show the 'Remove licenses' option?

If this is the case, would it be okay to message you at the email address associated with your forum profile to assist further?

Hi there, you can reduce licenses as Mark said to a minimum of 3 licenses, however the change will only appear on your account (and thus the reduced fee) when your account next renews, which is either in a month or year.

If you can’t reduce your licenses and you did remove people in the past, check if those users were suspended instead of removed, as suspended users still take up a license.

This also applies to pending invite to your team, so if any exist that you don’t want to join the team, just delete the invite from the admin console.

Hope this information helps!

How many licenses do you have at the moment and how many do you want on your account?

How many active licenses do you currently have assigned to users? Are you able to reduce the licenses in any way?

I only have two licenses assigned to users. I want to keep the third in case I need it. I have deleted all other users.

How do I reduce number of licenses to 3.

Have you followed the steps in this article?

  1. Sign in to dropbox.com with your admin credentials.
  2. Click Admin Console.
  3. Select the Billing tab.
  4. Click Manage plan.
  5. Click Manage licenses.
  6. Change the number of licenses in the box that appears.
  7. To remove unneeded licenses, click Remove licenses instead.

If you’re getting an error message, let me know!

Thank you

I had been to that page but visually it appears you can only add licenses not remove licenses.
