cant see folder that I should be able to

I am a team member of a business account.  We have a shared folder with 9 people.   Everyone else of my team says I am on that folder, but there is some ambiguity with my folders.  The online dropbox says I am the only member in the folder, but there once clicked on the folder, I see everything.  The dropbox that is downloaded to my computer shows the main folder, but does not show some updates that have been made in the past.  This is confusing and I can't figure out how to see those updates that my other team members have posted.  Any suggestions would be great.

Hi @Zed, I seem to have the exact same problem as Kirkartist had in 2017.

 

In my browser, I can see, open, and use a shared folder.

The problem is that I can't even see that same folder on my desktop app.

I had some problems in the past with this also. When this occurs it's always after a colleague made changes as well in a certain document or, in this case, the map structure.

 

Do you suggest I make a ticket with the support team?

As a first step, could you check what you see when you hover over your Dropbox icon that's next to your computer's clock?

Hey @Lusil ,

When I hover over the Dropbox icon next to the clock I read: "DropBox 89.4.278" and underneath it "updated"(If I translate it well).

Could you also have a look at a couple more points for me? 

  • Is the folder in question selectively synced by any chance? 
  • Are you signed in to the same Dropbox account as the one on the website? You can make sure by navigating to the General tab (website) and your Account tab (desktop app's settings).
