View, download, and export
Need support with viewing, downloading, and exporting files and folders from your Dropbox account? Find help from the Dropbox Community.
Hi there,
I'm new to dropbox and only need it for someone to send me some files as a one off. They've sent me the files but I can't seem to view or download them on the free account that I created. Do I have to have a paid account to do this?
Thanks in advance.
No you can do it on a free account, but, if you are trying to add to your account you can ONLY do this if you've enough quota.
You may want to ask them to instead just send you a shared link

Hi @Numbernameg, you can export files from the Dropbox mobile app onto your iPad or iPhone.
Once you've confirmed that they're on the device, you can delete them from Dropbox via the app.
